Outdoor Republic magazine, Nigeria’s premiere Out of Home advertising journal began as a self published magazine by Babajide Fagade popularly known as Babs Fagade; with an experienced editor while employing the use of freelance reporters, writers, photographers as well as contributors.
The magazine, which debuted in March 2007, is directed at all marketing communications practitioners and enthusiast at all levels of business throughout Nigeria and beyond by extension. After barely two years in circulation the publication become a known brand, gradually grew and became the acceptable vanguard voice for the Out of Home advertising industry in Nigeria.
Outdoor Republic became a monthly issued publication in year 2008 after debuting as a bi-monthly issue through the second half of year 2007. Since then, the publication has maintained shelf consistency on a monthly basis thereby ensuring that subscribers and readers alike get served with uninterrupted value.
Outdoor Republic is amongst the very few publications that celebrate the world’s oldest form of advertising – Out of Home advertising.
It mirrors on the out-of-home advertising and marketing communication industry in Nigeria through reportage, event coverage, news updates, profiling, interviews, seminars, conferences, awards, advertorials, articles and online engagements.

The Publisher
Babs Fagade, an advertising and marketing professional with over 24 years of experience that cut across diverse sectors like journalism, banking, manufacturing, Telecommunications, Outdoor Media companies, Advertising and Media agencies. He has vast experience in marketing and marketing communication working with Advertisers, Advertising agency, Media independent agency and Outdoor Advertising companies.
Experience includes working with the two pioneer Advertising companies in Nigeria, Lowe Lintas and Afromedia Plc where he once served as the Chief Operating Officer of Afromedia Gambia. He resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of E-motion Advertising Limited in 2013 and worked briefly with Globacom as Director, Out-of-Home advertising before incorporating an Out-of-Home advertising company, Ocean Outdoor Limited. He also served as Director General/CEO of Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) between 2015 and 2016. In addition, he is the Chairman of Streettoolz Limited an advertising agency with AAAN and Chairman of Nimbus Media Limited.
He holds MBA degree from the University of Ibadan. He is a graduate of Marketing and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations. He is also an alumnus of the London Business School, U.K and Lagos Business School of the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Director of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), a Fellow of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing U.K (CIM) and a full member registered with Advertising Practitioners’ Council of Nigeria (APCON).
He is also a regular facilitator at the School of Media and Communications of the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos. He is the Publicity Secretary of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), served on the Advertising Standards Panel (ASP) and was amongst the key speakers at the African Outdoor Advertising conference and Expo, 2014.
