OAAN, LASAA To The Rescue

The Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) in collaboration with Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) alongside Lagos State Ministry of Health partnered to run a COVID-19 out of home public enlightenment campaign on digital billboards across Lagos state.

Amidst the aims of the campaign as developed by LASAA with health messages provided by the Lagos State Ministry of Health is to leverage the ubiquitous strength of the Out-of-Home advertising to communicate the importance of handwashing to the public including sanitizing and use of nose masks.

Apparently, Out of Home advertising large appeal at touch points have been well used for the campaign that broke pre-lockdown and still running during the “stay at home” order to provide the same relevant message to the frontline and essential workers who are allowed to move around and provide their esteemed services.

The contribution of Outdoor Media Owners via the umbrella body, OAAN cannot be overemphasized towards making the campaign a reality. Outdoor Republic attempt to get an estimation of the worth of OAAN contribution via member companies could not be obtained as at press time. As our source stated that the campaign is still ongoing and giving such estimated worth would be premature for a running campaign without a known due date. This is not unconnected with the fact that COVID-19 pandemic could be on for a while than anyone can predict without a recommendable vaccine at sight.
