Nigerian Marketing Awards, Edition 3: Igniting the Spirit of Marketing Excellence in Nigeria

Nigerian Marketing Awards (NMA) marked its third edition in grand style, reaffirming its position as the leading recognition platform for marketing excellence in Nigeria. Themed “Ignite”, the event celebrated creativity, resilience, and the transformative power of marketing, while inspiring industry stakeholders to push boundaries and elevate standards.

The founder and event organizer, Tony Agenmonmen, set the tone for the evening with a powerful address. “For three years, we have come together to recognize the creativity, resilience, and excellence that define marketing in Nigeria. Each year, our commitment to values like transparency, credibility, and celebration shines brighter, igniting a flame that continues to grow,” he said.

Agenmonmen emphasized the transformative vision behind this year’s theme, Ignite. “It captures the essence of what we aspire to do—spark innovation, push new boundaries, and elevate marketing across all sectors. Tonight, as we celebrate our remarkable shared accomplishments, we do so with unity and purpose. Despite economic challenges, we remain steadfast in our principles of transparency and excellence, which have made the NMA the most credible and influential recognition platform for marketers in Nigeria.”

Highlighting the meticulous judging process, the Chairperson of the Award Decision Council, Mrs. Iquo Ukoh, described the tireless efforts of her team. “Twelve distinguished professionals from the marketing communications industry assessed all entries submitted for the 2024 awards. This was done pro bono as our contribution to maintaining high standards of professionalism in Nigeria’s marketing sector,” she revealed.

This year’s awards received submissions across 23 out of 29 categories, with each entry rigorously evaluated based on four key criteria: defining the problem, identifying the solution, implementing tactics, and measuring outcomes. “As in previous years, the assessment was thorough, executed with the utmost sense of responsibility and integrity,” Ukoh added.

The awards night recognized outstanding campaigns, brands, and industry players who have distinguished themselves through impactful marketing efforts. Among the winners were prominent brands like Dettol, Peak Milk, Tiger, Goldberg Black, Indomie, Life Beer, X3M Ideas, and First Bank.

In addition, the prestigious Marketing Icons Award was conferred on industry luminaries, including George Thorpe, Adedapo Adelegan, Charles O’tudor, Nduka Obaigbena, and Bola Akinbade.
