OAAN ANNOUNCES 41ST ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, SETS AGENDA FOR RESPONSIBLE OUT-OF-HOME ADVERTISING AHEAD OF POLITICAL CAMPAIGN SEASON

The Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has announced that its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) will hold from Thursday, August 6 to Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Park Inn by Radisson, IBB Boulevard, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Themed “OOH Media in Political Campaign Season: Policies, Politics, and Fair Practice,” the three-day gathering will bring together practitioners, industry leaders, regulators, and key stakeholders to deliberate on issues shaping the future of Nigeria’s Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising industry, with particular focus on ethical, professional, and regulatory considerations as the nation approaches another political campaign cycle.

As the Association’s highest statutory decision-making gathering, the AGM provides an important platform for members to review OAAN’s activities and achievements over the past year, receive reports from the Executive Council and various Committees, deliberate on critical industry matters, and adopt resolutions that will strengthen the Association and advance the sustainable growth of the Out-of-Home advertising sector in Nigeria.

The AGM theme reflects OAAN’s commitment to promoting professionalism, fairness, compliance with regulatory standards, and responsible advertising practices during political campaigns. Discussions are expected to explore the role of Out-of-Home media in supporting credible democratic processes while trusting government agencies to adhere to established policies, industry ethics, transparency and fair process practices.

Speaking on the forthcoming AGM, Sola Akinsiku, President of OAAN noted that the Annual General Meeting remains a vital forum for accountability, transparency, good governance, and collective decision-making within the Association.

He emphasized that members’ active participation is essential to shaping policies and strategies that will position the industry for continued relevance, innovation, and sustainable growth.

The Association has therefore encouraged all members to make the necessary arrangements to attend the AGM and complete all registration requirements accordingly.

The Executive Council expressed confidence that the 41st AGM will provide another valuable opportunity for members to strengthen professional collaboration, exchange ideas, and collectively chart a progressive path for the Nigerian Out-of-Home media industry.
