AAAN HOLDS AGM, BABAEKO EMERGES PRESIDENT

The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) recently held her 47th Annual General Meeting on July 2, 2020 via the Zoom online platform.

The Association’s AGM was adjudge a successful one climaxing with a hitch free election being an election year to usher in a new executive council members who will pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years. Steve Babaeko, CEO/CCO, X3M Ideas emerged as the President of the association; Jenkins Alumona, MD/CEO, Strategic Outcomes Limited running as Vice President; Dr. Tunji Olugbodi, Executive Vice President of Verdant Zeal as ex-officio among others.

It is on record that Steve Babaeko announced his revolutionary manifesto on Thursday last week hinged on world class positioning and women empowerment and this attracted maximum coverage across various media platforms ranging from social media to outdoor advertising including digital billboards.

Industry watcher believes that Babaeko has the capacity to reposition AAAN having garnered over 20 years experience in advertising business. This was well expressed by him during Outdoor Republic Live Edition that featured Babaeko as the one on one guest with our Publisher, Babs Fagade. He stated in clear terms his readiness to collaborate with other advertising sectoral bodies especially Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN).

Steve is renowned for his creativity and consistency as he has successfully taken one of Nigeria’s most innovative creative agencies, X3M Ideas to greater height, establishing X3M Ideas SA PTY to serve the business interest of the agency in the Southern African region.

He began his career in 1995 with MC&A Saatchi & Saatchi where he worked for five years, then to Prima Garnet Ogilvy, where he also worked for another five years. He also spent 7 years at 141 Worldwide, where he worked as creative director before establishing X3M Ideas in 2012.
