OAAN ANNOUNCES DATE TO HOLD 36TH AGM
The umbrella body for Outdoor Advertising professionals and practice in Nigeria, Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has concluded plans to hold her 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, June 25, 2021 at The Conference Hotels, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to the association’s official notice published in the newspaper of Monday, May 31, 2021 and signed by Mr. Olusola Akinsiku frpa, the General Secretary of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), the association’s AGM for this year would include an election of new Executive Council to pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.
The associations’s 36th AGM holding as scheduled this year with the theme, “Corporate Governance & Business Continuity Amidst Security & Economic threats” would see members looking at ways to remain relevant at a time when COVID-19 crisis has affected member companies business operations negatively.
It must be noted that the association from inception of the incumbent Executive Council led by a result-oriented President, Emmanuel Ajufo upon being sworn in at the 2019 AGM, have recorded remarkable achievements including the introduction of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that is recently being embraced by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) for all sectoral groups under the advertising apex body to make similar presentation, which would form a framework for an industry wide SOP.
This year’s AGM theme of the association would be a follow up on last year’s AGM theme, which was “OOH Business & Emerging Realities’’ held virtually on July 28, 2020 in compliance with social distancing guidelines of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Surely, the advertising industry cannot forget the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which made headlines as a first of its kind not only in the history of the association but the entire Nigerian advertising industry.
