World Out of Home Organization (WOO) firms-up on 2021 World Tour plans
The World Out of Home Organization has scheduled three 2021 World Tour events, the first time it has gone on the road, to reach targeted regional audiences.
The World Tour fills the void caused by the deferral of the Toronto 2021 World Congress, now rescheduled for Spring 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Tour begins with the first WOO European Regional One Day Event (virtual) to be held on Thursday May 6th followed by an APAC Regional Event in late September/October and an Africa Regional Event in December/January 2022. It is intended that the latter two will be live events. This will then lead nicely on to the live Toronto World Congress in May 2022, which promises to be a massive reunion, after the long dark period of Covid restrictions.
This year, there will also be a full programme of webinars, the first being a Global Market Activity Update from PJ Solomon on Thursday March 4 followed by a presentation on the significant opportunities presented by Out of Home and Mobile Connectivity.
This is in addition to the regular monthly calls for WOO members, the next one scheduled to take place on February 25.
One of the many silver linings that emerged from the Pandemic, has been the magnificent way in which the OOH Industry has united and rallied, in the face of a major crisis.
“As with many organisations and companies, the pandemic has accelerated our plans here at WOO too. We always intended to take WOO on the road to reach all parts of our global market and this is what the World Tour and the webinars, now allows us to do.
“But in the meantime, we will of course continue with the new programme of meetings with our friends and partners all over the world on a regular basis.”
